Travel Purpose: business

Positive: If you need to be near the road to Hana then this is a great place. It is one block off the highway. Close, but no road noise. The room is well equipped. It was stocked with water and snacks which we truly appreciated. It is also air-conditioned which was also greatly appreciated. Understand that this is a single room with a separate kitchen area and bathroom. There is a covered patio out the back door with a grill and a washer/dryer combo. Very new appliances. Owners live next door were very kind without intruding into our time.

Negative: It is not the owners fault, but there is relatively little in the way of groceries and restaurants nearby. There are a couple of food trucks close but they did not serve food we were interested in. The one small grocery that is close is quite expensive, even for Hawaii. Just be aware and plan for this. It is also a bit difficult time find if you are arriving in the dark. The road in front of their home is poorly marked and narrow. There is also a significant rain ditch you need to cross, so go slow when you first arrive. If you are driving a sports car this might be an issue. No problem with crossover or similar.
