Mulberry House is tucked in the lush mountains of NC and the heart of waterfall country. The home offers privacy and comfort on a beautiful wooded property with a year round creek at the back of the property. Ideally located minutes away from Asheville airport, Brevard, Hendersonville, Pisgah National Forest, DuPont, hiking, biking, fishing, restaurants and breweries, yet feels a world away. . The upper level is occupied by Sharon, her husband and their dog, Libby. You will occasionally hear and see them outside or hear footsteps otherwise we keep to ourselves. Sharon is very responsive to questions and guest requests.
Mulberry House features a separate driveway accented by the mulberry tree at the street. The space is a renovated lower level with a private entrance, now can include a bunk room, see below or message me for more details. The great room has an electric fireplace, SmartTV to stream from your video accounts and SamsungTV Plus with over 150 channels, free WiFi, and Verizon booster in an open-concept living area. Fully equipped kitchen with full size range and refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and washer/dryer combo. The dining area has seating for 6 with room to catch up on emails plus a dedicated work space in one bedroom. The space is compact but feels spacious with a split bedroom plan separated by the living/dining area with ceiling fans in each room. The outdoor patio offers peace and quiet to sip your morning coffee and listen to the birds or view the white squirrels that frequent the neighborhood. There is a fire pit, wood provided, to spend the evenings by the fire and a grill to cook out.
Note: we now can include a bunk room(not an office) that adjoins one of the queen bedrooms. The bunk room is an option that must be booked in advance otherwise it is not available. Message me for more details.
The room is set up for for younger guests with books and toys but can easily accommodate adults. Each bunk bed has a standard twin size memory foam mattress, there is a weight limit of 200 lbs per bed for safety reasons.
If you are traveling with children, we have a high chair, portacrib, changing table and toys. Let me know what you might need, we can have them ready for your little ones upon checkin.
We can accommodate up to 6 guests with 3 bedrooms, There is an additional $20 per night fee for an extra room, if you DO NOT want or need the extra room the rate is as indicated.
