Your “home away from home” to a very charming 2 bedroom, 1 full bath home with lots of natural light located in beautiful Waimea. Our home has tile and bamboo flooring and a JOTUL gas fireplace in the open living room to keep you warm on those cool Waimea evenings. The master bedroom and second bedroom are generous in size with good closet space. Our home is surrounded by lush private landscape with fruit trees and flowering plants - lemon, apple, bananas, loquat, night blooming jasmine, ginger and bamboo and pasture land in the backyard where you can watch the cows graze. Enjoy the beautiful sunset and pasture views from the large covered deck located immediately off the kitchen, a quiet and relaxing spot to enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning or a nice glass of wine at sunset.
The kitchen and pantry offer lots of space for food storage and the home comes with a stackable washer and dryer. The one-car carport is easily accessible with a driveway. The climate in Waimea is perfect; cool mornings and evenings, occasional afternoon misty rains and beautiful sunny days! Enjoy the quiet evenings, the beautiful countryside and lush surroundings in a private and tranquil setting. You will find peace, serenity and plenty of comfort and space to call home while you are on vacation yet still just minutes from the historic and convenient town of Waimea. The town center offers many fine and unique shops, art galleries, farmer's markets and excellent casual and fine dining options. Explore everything the Big Island has to offer from the stars and planets at the Mauna Kea Observatory to the best beaches and golfing on the island.

Summary: This is a comfortable home in a quiet Waimea neighborhood. There’s a beautiful pasture behind the house with a few cows roaming around. It’s a very short drive to grocery stores, restaurants and farmers’ markets. It’s a great location for accessing both sides of the island. It is a bit of a drive to Volcano NP, but still doable. The beautiful Kohala beaches are also close by. We were also close to some great hiking trails. So all in all, this is a great jumping off point for most of the island.
